a letter, of sorts —

Building a gentler corner of the internet.

Neyoza is a small app, built for anyone who has ever felt their phone was too loud. It is a journal. It is an affirmation. It is, mostly, a place to land — for two minutes, on a Tuesday.

The Manifesto

We believe the best technology is the kind you barely notice.

We believe reflection is a small act, done often — not a grand one done rarely.

We believe your inner life is yours — and the software that helps you tend to it should be quiet, honest, and on your side.

Neyoza is our attempt at all three.

Six things we keep coming back to.

principles · 01–06
§ 01

Softness is a kind of strength.

We design for the tired version of you — the one with fifteen tabs open — not the idealized one with forty minutes of morning. Small, gentle defaults win.

not hustle. not hustle.
§ 02

Your journal is yours.

Your entries live on your device. Nothing is sent to a server by default. Backup is optional — and goes to your own Google account, not ours.

not data. never data.
§ 03

Streaks should hold you.

Miss a day, and we hold the thread. A two-day streak is celebrated the same way a two-hundred-day one is. The practice is the point.

not punishment, not shame.
§ 04

Every pixel earns its place.

No feeds. No likes. No red badges. If a feature adds pressure without adding care, it doesn't ship.

not a social app.
§ 05

Small over ambitious.

A practice you do is infinitely more valuable than one you don't. We ship the smallest useful thing, then we make it softer.

not more, rarely more.
§ 06

We'd rather be quiet.

One notification per day, at most. No growth hacks. If we don't hear from you for a week, we assume you're fine — we're not here to tug at you.

not attention-hungry.
How Neyoza actually works
§ 01

Fully offline.

Neyoza works without an internet connection. Always. Your journal, your affirmations, your streaks — all available whether you're on a plane, in a basement, or just off the grid for the day.

§ 02

No account required.

Open the app and start writing. No sign-up, no email, no password. If you want to back up your entries to Google Drive, you can — but only if you choose to, only when you choose to.

§ 03

Your data stays on your device.

Nothing is sent to a server by default. Your entries live on your phone. Backup is optional, manual, and goes to your own Google account — not ours.

§ 04

One notification. Maybe.

If you set a daily affirmation reminder, you'll get one notification per day at the time you choose. That's the ceiling. No streak nudges, no re-engagement pings, no guilt.

If you've read this far, thank you.

Neyoza is something small, built with care, for people who want something quieter. If it's for you, we'd love to have you. If it isn't, we hope you find the thing that is.

Be gentle with yourself today.
