Your journal, affirmations, and streaks all work fully offline. Always.
Backup is your choice
If you want to back up your data to Google Drive, you can. It's optional, end-to-end encrypted, and goes to your account — not ours.
What data exists.
By default, Neyoza collects nothing. The items below only apply to optional features you choose to enable.
Journal entries
Stored only on your device. Your optional backup is end-to-end encrypted — only your password can unlock it, so we cannot read your entries even if backed up.
Google Drive backup (optional)
If you choose to back up, your data goes to your own Google Drive account — not ours — and is end-to-end encrypted. We have no access to it.
AI challenge generator (optional)
If you generate an AI challenge, the text you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider to create it. It is used only to produce that challenge and is not stored by us afterward.
What we never collect.
Your journal entries — they stay on your device unless you turn on encrypted backup.
Your location — we don't ask for it.
Your contacts.
Any data used to train AI models.
Advertising data — Neyoza shows no ads.
Anything we don't need.
Who else is involved.
Google Drive
Used only if you choose to enable cloud backup. Your data goes directly to your own Google Drive account, end-to-end encrypted. We have no access to it.
AI provider
Used only when you generate an AI challenge. The text you submit is processed to create that challenge. Nothing is stored on our end after it is delivered.
Deleting your data.
On your device: Delete individual entries in the app, or uninstall Neyoza to remove all local data.
Your cloud backup: Open Backup & Sync in the app and tap Delete Cloud Backup to permanently remove all backed-up data from your Google Drive.
Revoke access: To disconnect Neyoza from your Google account, visit your Google Account → Security → Third-party access and remove Neyoza.
Because we store no personal data on our own servers, there is no server-side account for us to delete. If you need help, email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Neyoza is intended for adults (18+).
Neyoza is designed for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app's optional cloud features, contact us and we'll help.
